Claudi Casanovas - Quart Creixent

Erskine, Hall and Coe is delighted to host a solo exhibition of ceramics and works on paper by acclaimed Catalan artist, Claudi Casanovas. The show will be open from the 1st through the 23rd of October 2014.

We are presenting five duos of ceramic sculptures paired with ten charcoal drawings in this exhibition titled, 'Quart Creixent,' or crescent moon.  Each pair of sculptures have a unique name which refers to organic and eternal growth and the Myth of Dionysus: Ovar, relating to ovaries, Bacant, referring to Bacchus (Dionysus), Verduc, to plant growth, Broll, to the youngest part of a plant, and Broton, relating to plant buds.
