We are delighted to share some news and recent developments following our two latest exhibitions by Sara Flynn and Genta Ishizuka.

Sara Flynn

July saw our ninth exhibition of work by Sara Flynn. A feature on the artist appears in the current issue of Ceramic Review (July/August), which can be viewed here. Our own catalogue for the exhibition has now been published, with an essay by Sebastian Blackie; an online version can be viewed here. 

We are also pleased to announce that Composite Vessel, 2026, from the exhibition, has been acquired by an important museum collection in the United States.

Genta Ishizuka

Ishizuka's third exhibition in the gallery was held in June, and coincided with Urushi Now: Contemporary Japanese Lacquer at the Victoria and Albert Museum, which includes an important work by Ishizuka. The V&A's exhibition continues until April 2027. Our catalogue for absence, presence is available to view online, and contains an appreciation of Ishizuka's work by Trey Trahan, founder of Trahan Architects.

A monograph on Ishizuka's work has been published by ARTCOURT Gallery in Osaka. It features texts in both English and Japanese, with essays by Minoru Shimizu (art critic and professor at Doshisha University) and Masami Yamada (curator at the Victoria and Albert Museum). It is available to purchase directly from ARTCOURT Gallery / Yagi Art Management, Inc., or from its distributor, Live Art Books Inc.
