Sara Flynn - 2016 Solo Exhibition

30 November 2016 - 12 January 2017

Sara Flynn's third solo exhibition at Erskine, Hall & Coe presents thirty-three new works in porcelain and bronze.

Flynn's vessels are thrown porcelain and feature tactile surfaces and colours ranging from cool and subtle whites and celadons to rich and complex greys, blacks and yellows. Since her last show at Erskine, Hall & Coe in 2014, she began experimenting with cast bronze, two pieces of which will be featured in this exhibition and displayed to a public audience for the first time.

A growing number of public collections have procured Flynn's work, including the National Museum of Ireland in Dublin and Irish embassies in Australia, Spain, The Netherlands and China.  The Art Institute of Chicago, Chatsworth House and the Gardiner Museum in Toronto have acquired her work from Erskine, Hall & Coe.

This exhibition is fully illustrated online and is accompanied by a catalogue featuring an essay by Emma Crichton-Miller.
