This tea bowl was exhibited in Ishiguro’s landmark exhibition, The Creative Spirit of His Ceramic Art held at the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo in 1981, before traveling to the Aichi Prefectural Ceramic Museum and the Ishikawa Prefectural Art Museum, and is illustrated in the accompanying exhibition catalogue. The bowl was later featured in Ishiguro Munemaro – Spirit of Ceramics, shown at the Suntory Museum of Art in Tokyo in 1996, and reproduced in the catalogue, Living National Treasure Ishiguro Munemaro: Spirit of Ceramics.
